Charlotte Lang-Waring is a law graduate at Altus, with a wealth of experience gained across multiple roles within Victorian Courts.
Over the past five years, she has worked in the County Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal, providing her with a deep understanding of litigation and case management at the highest levels.
A ‘floating associate’ in the Supreme Court’s Commercial Division, she assisted over 20 judges and chambers over a two-year period and gained invaluable insights into varied case management and judgement drafting practices, including with Sifris and Forrest JJA, and Croft, Connock, Delany, Garde, Sloss, Waller and Gray JJ. She later worked as a Registry Lawyer, where she helped case manage thousands of proceedings across multiple Common Law Lists.
Prior to working in the courts, she did pro bono paralegal work for Julian Burnside AO QC and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, and completed internships with Allens Linklaters, the Victorian Ombudsman, and the Law Institute of Victoria.
Charlotte is a Juris Doctor Graduate of Melbourne University. She brings a global perspective on complex legal issues, having obtained a Diploma (First Class Honours) in Chinese Business and Constitutional Law from Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China, as well as a Diploma (First Class Honours) in International Relations and Security from Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys bouldering, surfing (badly), camping, and travelling. Charlotte also volunteers as a camp leader for Challenge, a children’s cancer charity.
